YEG will become a beacon of light in the therapeutic and foster care systems of the nation by imbuing youth with legitimate means of communicating their social, mental, emotional, educational, physical and spiritual needs.
Culture-Based Residential Treatment Homes
In our wholistic residential treatment homes, Your Enlightenment Group has adopted culture-specific treatment programs to address the physical, mental and social ailments plaguing our children within the foster care system. Through our program YEG aims to imbue the youth served with legitimate means of communicating their social, mental, emotional, educational, physical and spiritual needs.
Currently we are working on our first Initiative, which is establishing Residential Child Care Institutions for boys and then girls. Child Caring Institutions (CCI’s) are commonly referred to as group homes and include any institution, society, agency, or facility that provides full-time care for 6 or more children through 18 years of age outside of their own homes.
During the 2018 State fiscal year, over twenty-one thousand children came through the Georgia foster care system.
We aim to lower these statistics by offering services to youth, ages 12-17, who exhibit one or more of the following behaviors:
YEG feels that the sole responsibility of the youth is to effectively communicate their needs. With the aid of our community partners YEG is responsible for ensuring that every need of every child in our care is not only met but also exceeded, giving them the tools necessary to lead meaningful lives as productive members of society.
